HIDF continued and expanded its women's leadership programme, known as Mahila Kattay. Originally started during COVID-19 in 2020, the programme has been extended to new partners. The program was developed specifically for socio-economically weaker sections. A local version was implemented for 25 selected women in the Davanagere district.
Roopantara is an initiative that aims to develop community-based facilitators, who will collectivise communities and facilitate shifts from their present conditions to a collectively identified vision for change. Upholding the values of democracy, diversity and intersectional approach is the core of the initiative. Roopantara draws from the learnings and experiences of Community Learning Programme (CLP) while creating new energy of its own.

● Entitlements & Livelihoods: Facilitated over 2,500 entitlements (e.g., pensions, scholarships, toolkits).
● Income Generation: Created a net income of over Rs. 25 lakhs for the community.
● Education: 12 Kalika Kendras (learning centres) started functioning across Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, Wadi, and Koppal, focusing on children and accountability from government schools.
● Community Dialogues: Roopantaras facilitated communities, particularly women, to collectively approach departments like the Panchayat to present their issues
HID Forum conducted several programs aimed at building awareness and fostering inclusivity regarding gender and sexuality (LGBTQIA+).
Awareness programmes focused on Jogappa/Jogti (Transgender) communities (30 participants). HIDF also held Sensitisation programs on gender and sexuality for state officials and personnel. Sensitisation was conducted to Police Departments that included 182 police personnel and 65 officers from women and child department.
The Community level Leadership Building is new programme designed by HIDF. It is a 3-year initiative designed to help community leaders to develop professional skills of managing communities.
1. Incubation: Incubate 30 individuals from socio-economically disadvantaged communities through building skills on PRAs, community participatory process designing, increasing involvement of the whole community, and so on.
2. Community Initiatives: Over 36 months, the community leaders will initiate 30 unique community-centred projects that promote equal access to opportunities and increase women’s participation in local governance.
