Competency Building
Capacity building and learning events are aimed at strengthening the competencies of individuals in their roles as change agents in organisational and institutional settings.
We create learning opportunities for people to gain and enhance relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes to perform their roles more effectively. This in turn enables individuals to locate change needs and facilitate change processes at self and organizational levels. Hence individuals become sources of and resources for change. HIDF also networks with other support organizations in offering competency-building programmes. Some of our flagship capacity building programmes are described below.
Mahila Katte/ Auraton ke Majlis
'Mahila Katte' or 'Auraton ke Majlis' is a coming together of women from the development field. This gathering intends to bring women from social sector to better understand themselves and how they relate themselves with their specific environment, be it their organization, household, community, political and or economic spaces and help other women.
Community Learning Programme
CLP is a grass roots level programme. Comprising of 4 modules and spanning over a year, the programme builds capacities among village volunteers and grassroots practitioners in terms of knowledge, skills, information and perspectives to function as resource persons and catalysts to mobilise and organise people.
The Unconscious
HID Forum offered various learning events on the unconscious like "Group Relation Conferences" and "Listening to the Unconscious" for over a decade. These events are designed to provide a variety of opportunities for members to exercise leadership and authority in here-and-now situations. Subsequently HID Forum collaborated with Group Relations India to offer learning events from 2008 to 2018.
