Research and Knowledge Building

We undertake research and knowledge building as a separate area of work in itself, exploring new themes and methodologies in the field of human and institution development is integral to all of HID Forum’s work. HID Forum’s tasks, be it in the area of capacity building, learning events or organisational and institutional development, are all strongly rooted in enquiry and conceptualisation.

This aspect of our work enables us to explore themes and methodologies related to institution building processes (such as leadership, gender mainstreaming, methodologies in organizational change facilitation and management) in different contexts.

The insights, perspectives and methodologies gleaned from our work experiences as well as the outcomes of the deliberate research and documentation that HID Forum undertakes are manifold. At the organisational level, they provide us with ideas for capacity building programmes and support us in monitoring our accompaniment work. At the sectoral level, they contribute to building knowledge on and demystifying HID, and contribute to ongoing debates or actions on development issues of current importance.
